HOW HAS THE RESEARCH INFORMED YOUR CREATIVE CHOICES?
For the front cover, I ended up being inspired by FERNANDOCOSTA's 'Tirititando' album. The album features big letters at the top of the singer's body, having the singer over the letters. I wanted to use a similar font and style to this album cover, which is also hip hop, and use a different colour that would link to the aesthetic and theme of my artists and song; red, like the colours in the flag of Spain and the main colour in the flag of Madrid, the place where I was filming.
For the back cover, I ended up opting for a chosen photo which appears in the music video while the locations are changing. I added my production company logo, a bar code and the copyright information at the bottom which is what I gathered from my digipak research and analysis of other artists. For the CD disk, I tried keeping it simple and added a photo of graffiti, as it linked to the codes and conventions of the hip-hop genre and was also very present all throughout my music video. Finally, for the inside cover, I created a collage of images which were a mixture of candid photography and behind scenes, I was inspired by the inside cover of A$AP Rocky's 'LONG LAST A$AP'
