IDEA 1
My first idea for the music video was to do a Rap / Hip-Hop music video, but in the end, decided not to since I wasn't going to be able to hit the codes and conventions of the genre. In my opinion, my ideas for this video were also too ambitious and difficult to recreate and they could all go wrong by me not having the actor, facilities, or equipment.
EDIT IDEAS
Initially, I like this idea of the video having multiple edits to cut from scene to scene. These edits were achieved with Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects
Obviously, I won't be making all of these edits in the entire music video on my own, but I may add effects similar half way through for clean transitions
I also really liked the technique they used in A$AP Rocky's 'A$AP Forever' music video where they used drone shots to achieve this idea of a floating camera above all of my locations and all of my actors
This is a trend on TikTok under Frank Oceans 'Pink + White' where the camera quickly pulls away from multiple subjects and slowly decreases in speed. This tranistion and edit has inspired me to maybe add it at the beginning or at the end of the music video to set the mood and tone of the locations, the different actors, the general vibe of what the audience is going to expect
Another Tik Tok trend where it is pure photo editing on Cap Cut by cutting and selecting only the outlines of images and pasting them onto new photos and moving them around a bit. I thought these edits and transitions could make the music video a lot more elaborated and interesting
Edits from the DMB ASAP Rocky music video where it uses a similar technique to the Pink and White trend where there are multiple photos of the same face stuck together and with every change in a frame, the camera pulls away more and more
